Who is responsible for an NMPA medical-device registration application?

The device-registration applicant is responsible for the finished device, its submission and the truthfulness of the supporting information. BIO can coordinate material and project information but does not replace the applicant or guarantee review outcomes.

Do raw-material documents prove finished-device compliance?

No. Supplier documents can support a device dossier, but the applicant must evaluate the finished device in its intended design, manufacturing, sterilization and use context.

What can BIO support in a China market-access project?

Can a medical-device master file be referenced?

A master file may be referenced when it is applicable, registered and authorized for the specific application. Voluntary master-file registration and its receipt do not constitute device approval, and the applicant retains responsibility.

What determines the evidence plan for a silicone-containing device?

The plan depends on device classification, intended use, design, contact type and duration, manufacturing and sterilization, risk management and applicable rules or guidance. It cannot be inferred from a material label alone.
